WHAT WILL IT COST?
No matter the case, cost is always a consideration when choosing a lawyer. I never charge for my initial case evaluation. At our first meeting, we’ll discuss your federal charges, outline the expected scope of work, and talk through payment arrangements that fit the case. Fees are tailored to your situation and quoted up front, with full transparency about what’s included and what isn’t. You’ll find general guidance on pricing below.
Cost of a Case
The cost of a federal criminal depends on several factors, including the types of charges and amount of evidence. A typical drug importation case may begin at $20,000 but a complicated fraud case will be more. At our first meeting we will talk about the specific costs for your case.
Payment Methods
I want you to be able to pay in whatever way makes the most sense for your situation. I accept payment by all major credit cards, cash, and check. I also accept payment in cryptocurrency depending on the case.
Flat Fees
In almost every federal criminal case, I will quote you a price that includes all legal services so you know exactly how much you'll be paying up front. We can also talk about whether hourly fees make more sense. While experts may be separate, we will talk about those types of costs at our first meeting.
Payment Plans
At least one half of the legal fee is always required at the beginning of the case to get started. If a payment plan is needed, we will create a timeline that works for you.
Case Stage Pricing
While most cases require me to be involved from start to finish, I also offer representation for specific phases when that better fits your needs and budget. For example, you can hire me just for sentencing, pretrial motions, or trial. This targeted approach lets you focus resources where they matter most—and can lower overall costs. You still get experienced federal defense at the critical moments without paying for services you don’t need.
